Be active and stay connected

The Parramatta Aquatic Centre (The PAC) is proud to support local seniors to be more active and connected within their local community. See below for a range of offerings available to seniors living in the Parramatta LGA.

Seniors Swim FREE on Tuesdays at The PAC 

Join us for free aquatic access every Tuesday. This offer is exclusively available to NSW Seniors Card or Disability Pension Card holders who live within the Parramatta Local Government Area.

To take advantage of this offer you will need to complete a registration form and provide a valid NSW Seniors Card or Disability Pension Card plus proof of your residential address at the swimming centre reception. Acceptable proof of address documents includes utility tax invoice (gas, water, or electricity), NSW Driver’s Licence or City of Parramatta Rates Notice.

Seniors fitness classes

The PAC offers a wide range of group fitness classes. With this program, the centre features several classes specifically catering to seniors looking to stay active and enjoy a workout. 

Of course, all classes are open for seniors to participate in. Please speak to our friendly fitness team to learn more about our wide range of classes and see which ones are best suited to your individual needs, physical abilities, and fitness goals. 

Seniors Active

Improve cardiovascular function, performance and boost your confidence. Specifically designed for older adults, this class focuses on building on participants strength, improving overall fitness, and muscle function to help maintain independence and vitality. Our experienced trainers will guide the class through a series of cardio-based exercises tailored to individual abilities and needs. 

Seniors Strength

Build stronger joints, muscles and become more confident in the gym. Specifically designed for older adults, this class focuses on building on participants strength, improving balance and muscle function to help maintain independence and vitality. Our experienced trainers will guide the class through a series of exercises using weights, resistance bands and bodyweight movements, tailored to individual abilities and needs. 

Aqua Aerobics

Using the resistance of the water, these classes are run in either shallow or deep water (depending on the class booked). Facilitated by a qualified instructor, participants are guided through a series of low impact but challenging exercises. These sessions are great for improving cardiovascular health, building strength, and increasing flexibility. Classes are paired with upbeat music to help keep you motivated and having a great time.
